Genocide Research                              Spring 2008

Getting Started:

  • Select high quality resources. Evaluate all for authority, accuracy, audience/agenda, and currency.
  • When using the databases or catalogs try to determine the subject headings assigned to the genocide (such as 'human rights violations', 'crimes against humanity', atrocities).  Try the term genocide as a subject heading and look for subtopics or subdivisions for your particular example.

Books:

  • Look for books in Destiny (Library Catalog). Try a keyword search. Or try the Genocide Resource list. One book can be checked out per person for 2 days.

Or review the Genocides Resource List for preselected books.

  • Write down call number and title to locate book on shelves. One book per person, can be checked out for 2 days.
